Certified Data Analysis and Visualization –

SUMMARY OF SYLLABUS : Certified Data Analysis and Visualization
Section 1: Python Essentials for data science
In this section, we will learn basic python programming skills for Data Science including Data Types, Comparisons Operators, if, else, else if statement, Loops, List Comprehension, Functions, Lambda Expression, Map and Filter.
Section 2: Data Analysis
We will start with numpy and cover arrays, built-in methods, array methods and attributes, Indexing, slicing, broadcasting & boolean masking, arithmetic operations & universal functions. After numpy, we will move on to pandas and cover series, dataframe, hierarchical indexing, handling missing data, data wrangling – Combining, merging, joining, groupby and range of other useful methods in pandas.
Section 3: Data Visualizations
This section will start with quick data visualization using pandas and then extend towards the use of matplotlib and seaborn. Starting with basic plotting and object-oriented approach using matplotlib, we will jump to the seaborn which is a state-of-the-art statistical data visualization library in python. Including wider variety of plotting options, we will explore distribution & categorical plots, axis grids, matrix plots and regression plots.
Section 4: Capstone project
Throughout the course, we will work with the real datasets. However, we will put a seal on our skills using real stock dataset that I have created for you. You will get a feel how the business intelligence work. You will be asked to conclude and make suggestion based on the data insights to facilitate in decision making. This is a key in business strategies

Graduated with Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from University of Minnesota, Minneapolis USA and he was a principal researcher at MIMOS Berhad before joining Insight Mind as Senior Vice President in Technology.
